In looking after their cow, Mr. Be Van Nha and his wife carefully apply the knowledge that they have received from the technical trainings AM provides.

These trainings are an important component of the project, helping clients learn that it is not difficult to raise cows- just follow instructions from the hand-outs after each training.

The Be family first received their project cow in 2009 from AM's Cow Bank Project in Lang Son. After one year, in 2010, this family returned their loan to the project: a female calf.  This female calf was then handed over to another family in the hamlet.

The Be family was able to help another family start raising cows.

Now the family has 4 cows in the shelter including the first project cow. Their two children are very happy to have cows to look after when they return home from school. They all love their cows and want to develop their own herd, hopefully up to 10 cows. They said they will encourage other farmers to raise cows because they have seen the cows become a stable source for their family income.
